New classes of control functions for nonlinear contractions and applications

We initiate the use of sub and super homogeneous control functions for nonlinear contractions in complete metric spaces and establish new fixed point theorems. Moreover, we develop other variants of control functions for the fixed point theorems of Boyd-Wong [2] and Matkowski [3]. As application, we present new sufficient conditions ensuring the existence of solutions to some classes of integral equations of Fredholm and Volterra type.

Fixed Point Results via Real-Valued Function Satisfying Integral Type Rational Contraction

In this article, we mainly discuss the existence and uniqueness of fixed point satisfying integral type contractions in complete metric spaces via rational expression using real-valued functions. We improve and unify many widely known results from the literature. Among these, the work of Rakotch (1962), Branciari (2002), and Liu et al. (2013) is extended. Finally, we conclude with an example presented graphically in favour of our work.

Existence of fuzzy fixed points of set-valued fuzzy mappings in metric and fuzzy metric spaces

<abstract> <p>A contemporary fuzzy technique is employed in the current study to generalize some established and recent findings. For researchers, fixed point (FP) procedures are highly advantageous and appealing mechanisms. Discovering fuzzy fixed points of fuzzy mappings (FM) meeting Nadler's type contraction in complete fuzzy metric space (FMS) and?iri? type contraction in complete metric spaces (MS) is the core objective of this research. The outcomes are backed up by example and applications that highlight these findings. There are also preceding conclusions that are given as corollaries from the relevant literature. In this mode, numerous consequences exist in the significant literature are extended and combined by our findings.</p> </abstract>

Fixed Point Theory for Multi-Valued Feng–Liu–Subrahmanyan Contractions

In this paper, we consider several problems related to the so-called multi-valued Feng–Liu–Subrahmanyan contractions in complete metric spaces. Existence of the fixed points and of the strict fixed points, as well as data dependence and stability properties for the fixed point problem, are discussed. Some results are presented, under appropriate conditions, and some open questions are pointed out. Our results extend recent results given for multi-valued graph contractions and multi-valued Subrahmanyan contractions.

On extended interpolative single and multivalued $F$-contractions

The main objective of this paper is to study an extended interpolative single and multivalued Hardy-Rogers type $F$-contractions in complete metric spaces. We prove some fixed point theorems for such mappings. Further, we give an application to integral equations to verify our main results. The results presented in this paper improve the recent works of Karapinar et al. [12] and Mohammadi et al. [16].

On Almost Type α-F-Z-Weak Contraction in Metric Spaces

In this article, we introduce a new type of contraction named almost type α-F-Z-weak contraction, which comes from a combination of F-contraction, Z-contraction, and almost contraction, and then we provide sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of fixed point of such contractions in complete metric spaces and give some related fixed point results. In addition, some related fixed point results can derive from our main results.

KW-Type Nonlinear Contractions and Their Best Proximity Points

In this paper, we present two main results about best proximity points for multivalued mappings. First, taking into account Klim and Wardowski’s approach in fixed-point theory, we obtain a new result for multivalued mappings which includes the main theorem of Kamran [Kamranm, T. (2009). Mizoguchi–Takahashi’s type fixed point theorem. Comput. Math. Appl. 57(3):507–511]. Second, combining this approach with cyclic contraction, we give a general best proximity point result, and so we obtain many well-known fixed-point theorems such as Mizoguchi–Takahashi, Feng–Liu and Klim–Wardowski [Mizoguchi, N., Takahashi, W. Fixed points and sets of multivalued contractions: an advanced survey with some new results

The existence of fixed points and, in particular, coupled fixed points is investigated for multivalued contractions in complete metric spaces. Multivalued coupled fractals are furthermore explored as coupled fixed points of certain induced operators in hyperspaces, i.e. as coupled compact subsets of the original spaces. The structure of fixed point sets is considered in terms of absolute retracts. We also formulate a continuation principle for multivalued contractions as a nonlinear alternative based on the topological essentiality. Two illustrative examples about coupled multivalued fractals are supplied.

Fixed point results for non-self nonlinear graphic contractions in complete metric spaces with applications

In this paper, we will present some fixed point results for the case of non-self operators satisfying a nonlinear graphic contraction condition in complete metric spaces. Properties of the corresponding fixed point equation are established and some applications are given.

Generalizations of Kannan and Reich Fixed Point Theorems, Using Sequentially Convergent Mappings and Subadditive Altering Distance Functions

In this paper, first, using interpolative Kannan type contractions, a new fixed point theorem has been proved. Then, by applying sequentially convergent mappings and using subadditive altering distance functions, we generalize contractions in complete metric spaces. Finally, we investigate some fixed point theorems which are generalizations of Kannan and Reich fixed points.

Generalized multivalued Khan-type (psi ,phi )-contractions in complete metric spaces

In this article, we study a new generalized multivalued Khan-type (psi ,phi )-contraction. We obtain some fixed point theorems related to the introduced contraction for multivalued mappings in complete metric spaces. Our theorems extend and improve some previous known results with less conditions. Also, we give some illustrative examples.

Common Fixed Point Theorems of Generalized Multivalued (ψ,ϕ)-Contractions in Complete Metric Spaces with Application

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of generalized multivalued ψ , ϕ -type contractions and generalized multivalued ψ , ϕ -type Suzuki contractions and establish some new common fixed point theorems for such multivalued mappings in complete metric spaces. Our results are extension and improvement of the Suzuki and Nadler contraction theorems, Jleli and Samet, Piri and Kumam, Mizoguchi and Takahashi, and Liu et al. fixed point theorems. We provide an example for supporting our new results. Moreover, an application of our main result to the existence of solution of system of functional equations is also presented.

On p-Common Best Proximity Point Results for S-Weakly Contraction in Complete Metric Spaces

In this work, we introduced new notions of a new contraction named S -weakly contraction; after that, we obtained the p-common best proximity point results for different types of contractions in the setting of complete metric spaces by using weak P p -property and proved the uniqueness of these points. Also, we presented some examples to prove the validity of our results.

Fixed point theorems for $$F_\mathfrak {R}$$ F R -contractions with applications to solution of nonlinear matrix equations

In (Fixed Point Theory Appl 94:6, 2012), the author introduced a new kind of contractions, called F-contractions, that extended the Banach contractions in a newfangled way. In this work, we introduce the notion of \(F_\mathfrak {R}\)-contraction where \(\mathfrak {R}\) is a binary relation on its domain that has not to be neither transitive nor a partial order. Consequently, we establish some fixed point results for such contractions in complete metric spaces that improve the Wardowski’s original idea and we also give illustrative examples. Furthermore, we show some results to guarantee existence and uniqueness of fixed point of N-order. As an application, we apply our main result to study a class of nonlinear matrix equation.
